Trained Caldwell Preservation Teams perform all inspection, clean-out, repair, and rehabilitation work. In addition to technical training, all Caldwell personnel must be trained and meet the stringent requirements of our corporate safety program.

Our Preservation Teams are supported by Caldwell’s in-house staff of Professional Engineers and NACE Certified Coating Inspectors. With extensive fabrication facilities in Louisville, Kentucky and Newnan, Georgia, dedicated civil construction, steel construction, field painting, and inspection crews, Caldwell is uniquely qualified to meet your water storage tank preservation needs.

Caldwell offers full repainting services, including cleaning and repainting of the exterior and/or interior of the tank. Repainting options range from full blast-cleaning in a containment structure, to spot touch-up and overcoating systems. All interior coating systems are ANSI/NSF 61 approved. Caldwell's experts will work with you for the best solution for your asset.

Wet Inspections

If a tank cannot be drained, inspections and clean-outs can be performed using commercial divers and/or remotely operated vehicles (ROVs).

Exterior Washing

Exterior washing using an environmentally-friendly cleaner can be provided.

Rigged Inspection and Structural Evaluations

If the tank or tower structure is suspect, Caldwell can rig the tank and perform a detailed evaluation including ultrasonic thickness (UT) measurement of the steel and dimension checks. This information will be compared to the as-built drawings by a Professional Engineer to evaluate the current condition of the structure.
