Gallagher Elected Vice President of STI/SPFA

STI/SPFA ELECTS NEW DIRECTORS AND OFFICERS

LAKE ZURICH, IL – Members of STI/SPFA elected its 2013 Board of Directors at the organization’s recent annual meeting in Bonita Springs, Florida. Officers for 2013 were then elected by the board at its first meeting of the year, also in Bonita Springs.

Sonny Underwood of Mid-South Steel Products, Inc. is the 2013 president of STI/SPFA. Also elected were Kevin Gallagher, Caldwell Tanks, vice president; and Steve Meeker, Hamilton Tanks, treasurer. Past President Terry Cooper, Acterra Group, was appointed chairman of the board.

Ralph Carpenter, American SpiralWeld, was re-elected for a second three-year term on the board, representing the Steel Water Pipe Section of STI/SPFA members; and Tim Woofter, Stanwade Metal Products, was also elected for a three-year term.

Continuing their terms on the 2013 STI/SPFA Board of Directors are Tony Honey, Modern Welding Co., Technical Committee chair and representing the Shop-Fabricated Tank Section; David Watson, Watco Tanks; Tim Racicot, Nooter/CIC Group, Safety & Health Committee chair; Steve Hammoor, Brighton Tru-Edge, Pressure Vessel Section chair; and Jerry Schollmeyer, Morrison Bros., representing Affiliate Members.

STI/SPFA is a not-for-profit association whose member companies fabricate steel tanks, pipe, and pressure vessels for use in the petroleum, food, water, and chemical processing industries.
