As of October 2021, Caldwell Tanks, Inc. has successfully met the requirements of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Conformity Assessment certification program and the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors (NBBI) accreditation program earning the ASME “U” stamp and “U2” stamp certificates of authorization and the NBBI “R” stamp certificate of authorization.  This allows Caldwell to perform shop construction and field assembly of new pressure vessels and repairs and alterations in the shop and the field to existing metallic pressure-retaining items.  An ASME “U” Stamp signifies that the pressure vessel was manufactured in accordance with Section VIII, Division 1.  An ASME “U2” Stamped pressure vessel meets the requirements of Section VIII, Division 2.  An NBBI “R” Stamp is for the repair and/or alteration of existing metallic pressure-retaining items within the scope of ASME Section VIII, Divisions 1 and 2.
